What to Expect When You Book a Photo or Video Shoot With Us

“Stop. Look. And Feel. Let It Sink In. Cater To All. Quiet. Moving. And Still. Telling A Story Through Your Eyes And Ours”

Booking a photography or videography session for the first time — or even the fifth time with a new team — can feel uncertain. What do you actually need to prepare? How does the day unfold? When will you get your photos? These are the questions we hear all the time, and we'd rather answer them upfront than leave you guessing.

Here's a honest, step-by-step look at what working with NoFaux_Ent. actually looks like.

Step 1: The Inquiry — Starting the Conversation

Everything begins with a simple message. You reach out through our contact page, and we'll get back to you within 24–48 hours. No automated responses, no run-around — just a real conversation about what you need.

In that first exchange, we'll cover the basics:

  • What type of shoot are you looking for? Product, food, headshots, concert coverage, BTS, or something else entirely?

  • What's the goal? A new LinkedIn photo is a different beast than a full brand campaign for a restaurant. The more context you share, the better we can build around it.

  • Where and when? We'll discuss locations, availability, and whether we're shooting on-site, on location, or in a more controlled environment.

There's no pressure in this stage. It's a conversation — we're figuring out if we're the right fit for each other and how to make the vision work.

Step 2: Pre-Shoot Planning — Getting Aligned

Once we're booked, the real preparation begins. This is where we get into the creative details.

We'll work with you on:

  • Location scouting — whether that's your restaurant, a local backdrop, a studio setup, or somewhere with the natural beauty of the Lake Tahoe region behind it

  • Shot list or shot direction — we'll map out the key moments or looks we want to capture so shoot day isn't spent guessing

  • Wardrobe guidance (for headshots and portraits) — what to wear, what to avoid, and how to make sure you look sharp and intentional on camera

  • Mood and creative direction — if you have reference images or a specific feel in mind, bring them. If you don't, we'll help shape a direction together

The goal of this stage is simple: we want to walk into shoot day with clarity so the whole session can flow naturally.

Step 3: Shoot Day — Where It All Comes Together

On the day of the shoot, our focus is on creating the right environment for great work. That means setting up lighting thoughtfully, staying adaptable when things shift (and they always shift a little), and keeping the atmosphere comfortable and collaborative.

A few things to know about shoot day:

  • We'll give you direction, but we won't make you feel stiff. Especially for headshots and portraits, we guide you through poses and expressions so you don't have to overthink it.

  • We move with intention. Our team balances creativity and efficiency — we're not rushing, but we're also not wasting your time.

  • We stay flexible. Good light changes. Unexpected moments happen. We're always paying attention and ready to pivot when something better presents itself.

Whether it's a solo headshot session or a full production day with food styling, product setups, or live event coverage, the approach is the same: create a space where the work can be its best.

Step 4: Editing & Delivery — The Finishing Work

This is where raw files become the final product, and it's a step we take seriously.

Every image is retouched using a drawing tablet for precise, natural-looking adjustments — not the kind of heavy-handed editing that makes a photo look processed. Videos are color graded and edited for flow, so the final piece feels cohesive and intentional from start to finish.

What delivery looks like:

  • Images are delivered via an online gallery to the email you provided

  • Videos are delivered digitally, ready for use across web, social, or wherever you need them

  • Timeline varies by project scope, but we'll give you a clear estimate upfront so you're not left waiting and wondering

  • Revisions — we'll follow up after delivery to gather your feedback and make any adjustments needed

The work isn't done until you're confident in what you have.
